Which of the melee weapons would be best for a Hunter? Obviously I would try to get the mail chest, shoulders, bow or gun.

Or would it be better to use leveling greens and save the seals and shards for other things?

I'm looking for an addon that allows me to save a guildie's profession when it's linked in chat. This way, I can easily look up if the guild enchanter has the enchant I need.

Armory does this for all my own characters, but I still haven't found one to do it for other people. Any suggestions?

DPS Target Macro question

I need a macro that will allow me to target my setfocus's target. I also want this macro to target 'nearest target' whenever I do not have a setfocus. This way I can bind both abilities to one button and I can mash the button without getting any error messages. Is there a simple macro that can perform both tasks depending on my setfocus situation? As a shadowpriest without T10 I am normally using MB and SW:D on Cooldown. Yesterday I got my 4xT10 bonus but what does this change in my rotation?

My rotation is:

VT MB DP MF SWP

from then on keep MB and SW:D on CD with MF as a filler

What gear can I pick up to help the switch from a Fire to Arcane mage spec?

I've made the switch a while back from a traditional deep fire spec to a cookie cutter arcane spec. So far, I'm loving the additional DPS output that the spec is providing.

Trouble is, I'm having trouble shedding the ton of +hit gear I've accumulated for running with deep fire and I keep on picking up even more gear with +hit amongst it's stats. I'm really struggling to work out where I'm going to be able to drop the 170 or so wasted points of +hit stat.

My armoury profile is here. While an obvious candidate for replacement is Dying Curse, I'm not sure which others are likely candidates.

In terms of places that I can grab gear from, there's obviously the full range of heroics and the Triumph badge gear. I'm also doing 10mans, but the Ulduar and ToC runs have dried up in-guild while we focus more on ICC. I've not been able to progress much in there, so I wouldn't want to bet on getting gear from there at present.

So, what do you think? What should I ditch, what should I keep?

Hey guys here i am leveling my hunter. Hes 72 now and loving it like aways! But ive noticed in hight lvl 80 hunters a little neat trick, they can Throw the traps far away like the blizzard on mages (when u have the reticle on the ground) so im wondering this comes at lvl 80 or is a talent??? This would help much to proc my Explosive shots... Also isnt there a option or new talent to summon your pets anywhere? remenber reading this somewhere in the past! Noob questions but never reach 80 with a hunter!

Assist/Tricks of the Trade Target Addon

On my hunter I use a very handy addon called MisdirectionHelper to manage my misdirect macro. It gives me a nice list of potential targets and updates my MD macro to whichever target I choose. It especially makes it much easier to switch the target when I join random heroics since I can just choose "Party Tank" from the menu and it knows who to use. I prefer this method because it leaves my focus free for other targets.

I'm looking for a simmilar addon that can do the same for my rogue's Tricks of the Trade, anyone know of one? Bonus points if it can also create an assist macro for the same target.

Should Auto-Shot be the top damage dealer for a MM hunter?

Looking over Recount from the last few raids and heroics, my dps is usually 3.5k in 25 man raids. But it seems that Auto-Shot is my top damage dealer overall, followed by Chimera Shot. Should I be concerned or is this normal for MM?

Perhaps this macro could also put a line into party chat that says something like

-target- has been sheeped! DO NOT KILL!

Last Point for a MM Hunter

I have an unused talent point and am looking for advice on how to use it. I am specced MM, am not ArP capped, but have enough ArP to warrant dropping arcane shot from my priority rotation. I am also hit capped and no longer need one point in FA. So I am unsure what to do with that one point now. I am toying with putting one point into efficiancy to reduce my viper usage a little. Looking for Bar maintenance addon

I am looking for a bar mod that does 4 things.

One click auto clear all skill from bars.
Lets me know what skills in my skill book that I haven't placed on a bar yet.
Let me know if I have more then one of the same skill on the my bars at one time.
Let me do a check of somesort to know if all the skills I have on my bars are max level. (I know RankWatch does something similar)

So far my search have been fruitless on finding such a mod that will let me "reset" all my skills and let me easily re do my skills on my bars

WoW Gaming Mouse

Ok here is my issue, im not as tech savy as id like to be nor am I a pc gamer with the exception of being a WoW addict now.

I have a wireless mouse that came with my all in one Dell PC. The mouse tends to lag during game play at times. Ill be moving with my mouse, release the button and my toon moves another 5 yards at times...sometimes leading to walking off a cliff. Also during gameplay especially during a PvP battle ill move the mouse and the cursor locks for a second or two, then moves across the screen when it becomes unfrozen. It only happens when using and moving with the mouse, if I move with my hotkey, I am fine. This doesnt just happen when playing WoW, it happens on any application or surfing that I am doing. Being that there isnt software for this mouse, I cant adjust its settings...at least I dont think I can.

I am now considering getting a new mouse and I know that there is a WoW mouse for 80 bucks or so...is this mouse really worth it? Or can someone suggest a mouse or that I should look to buy? Again, I am typically a console gamer with the exception of WoW so in terms of gaming, the mouse will be just for WoW and normal pc activity.

How do I best copy WoW settings to another computer?

I have been playing WoW for years, accumulating a number of add-ons and have tweaked many game settings. Now I have built a new gaming PC and have installed WoW on it.

I would now like to copy (or move), as completely as possible, all my add-ons and all my settings (both for add-on related and other), preferably for all my characters, to the new computer, so that my WoW environment there is as identical as possible to the original computer (except, hopefully, faster and with better graphics).

Could you give me some advice as to the technical steps to accomplish this? For example which folders I should copy where and in what order, etc.

I am running Windows Vista on my old computer and Windows 7 on my new.

I actually have a Curse add-on premium account, which claims to be able to “sync” add-on settings. I have activated that feature on my old computer, but I cannot find any detailed explanation on exactly how to use it. For example, should I first login on my new computer, and then run the sync, or should I first sync and then login?

Should I copy C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\* from one computer to the other? Before ever logging in? Before running Curse syncing?

This might sound trivial to some, but I have tech-savvy friends who have failed in copying settings satisfactorily when attempting to just copy the most obvious folders.

Obtaining the Shaman 4 Set Bonus

Hi guys,

Just to state incase this actually makes a difference, my guild only does 10 man ICC, and i sometimes get on a 25 man GDKP run.

According to Elitist Jerks on the thread linked below to obtain the 4 set bonus it suggests using the Helm, Shoulders, Chest and Legs. I have the first three and am now debating weather or not to go with the gloves or legs.

Personally i think going for the Frost Witch's Legguards is a disadvantage as if i where to go for the Frost Witch's Handguards i could then obtain the Rippling Flesh Kilt (non heroic version) appose to going for offset gloves.

I think the 3 sockets in the Rippling Flesh Kilt far outweigh anything i have seen to maximize haste on other items and the socket colours are great for socketing haste gems.

I am not sure if i am missing something here but if anyone could give me some advice on this it would be much appreciated.

Help me build a stam/dodge set for my Rogue

I know, I know, this is almost word for word from Feist's excellent question, but there is one massive distinction that I'd like to put in.

I don't want to completely lose agility/AP/crit etc

I still want to be able to do a bit of damage but I would like to play around with a rogue dodge set for BC raids and Northrend 5 mans. Bonus points if someone comes up with a good talent specialization for it!

Really the only requirements I have for this is:

Leather gear
Not spell-leather

Sockets and stamina are the most important but I don't want a set with 50k health and 7 attack power, as I won't be doing anything and things will run rampant.

This is completely hypothetical but what would the possibility that in Cataclysm rogues would be getting a second AoE, the Poison Bottle from ToC5 man, and no reason for this but when using Tricks of the Trade and popping Feint or Vanish dropping the threat of the other party member affected by tricks?

As a new Fury Warrior, should I gem for Expertise, or Strength?

I am primarily a Prot warrior, but my guild wants me to build up a DPS set as well, which I have been doing. They have insisted that I use Expertise Gems in my gear to get my rating up, but I've heard from a friend that Strength is the best way to go. My Expertise rating is 4.25%, which I am being told is too low, and currently my hit rating is through the roof. What gems should I be going for?

I've been thinking a lot about a protection based warrior dps spec. I threw this together with the following glyphs:

one quick question though: if you had to take points out of fury to fill in deep wounds, what would you change?

major: blocking, devastate, shockwave

minor: bloodrage, thunderclap, Battle

I've read interesting things about the upcoming buffs to devastate, why prot warriors were OP in arena, and the like. It got me thinking of a protection dps spec. The idea then is to still wear nearly full plate dps gear, stacking crit and armor pen. etc. Key however, are stacking some block value (to enhance shield slam hits) and equiping a slow, dps single hander. Spamming devastate on a target with several stacks of sunder armor with high crit chance should yield respectable damage. Also key are the crit chance enhancing techniques that are specific to spells, like Critical Block and Incite. Deep Wounds should be filled in, to take advantage of that extra crit on TC and on Shockwave crits.

So this leads me to final questions: Does this look viable? Interesting at least? Completely retarded? I haven't tried it out yet, but have plans to. I want to fill in deep wounds though and need a little push to decide what to take out from the other trees to get it.

Death knight dual spec - which tree to tank heroics?

So I have a DK about to hit 80 in the next few days.

I've been leveling as Unholy - mainly DPS - but I'm thinking of buying a second spec for tanking. I'm not really planning to raid on this character, so I'd be tanking heroics at most. I like Unholy and want to keep using it for DPS, but I've heard it's the weakest of the three trees for tanking. With that in mind, would Blood or Frost be a better general purpose (single target and AoE) heroic-level tanking tree?

Feral Druid Rotation - Should i Rip over a RIP?

Hi,

My basic question is if i have a Rip applied to a boss and have 5 CP should i rip over the top?

Let me explain my rotation a little to give some background. Assume that i have just done a 5cp Savage Roar so im at max time available.

First 5 point up and then Rip. I have plenty SR time left so now i refresh any dots (Mangle & Rake) but my main priority is Rake. So i Rake 2 or 3 times to extend the duration of Rip. Between the keeping up the Dots and Raking i have 5 CP and still have enough time to spend the 5 points and build them up before i need to refresh SR. Usually i would use Rip and would Rip over the one that i have already applied.

I have a feeling that i am wasting the remaining duration of the Rip im overwriting. Would i be correct in assuming this? Would it be better to do a FB and then build up to a 5 cp savage roar and then hopefully build up a quick 5 cp to re apply rip?

I play a ret paladin but a lot of guilds on my server don't like to bring them in because as compared to a rogue, they don't do nearly enough DPS.

Because of this I decided to reroll. I was curious as to what would be a good class that would have no problem getting into a raid group once geared? I'm leaning towards Mage.

I recently have started soloing some raid bosses and would like to do somemore. Downed attumen, moroes and maiden. Took about 6 min each. What I would like are some guides that point out rough solo encounters. I.E. Bat boss from zul'gurub.

Wow! I didn't know about the silence and self heal mechanic. Took me 25 min and had to wait it out till she went OOM.

Sorry I can't remember his name but the tiger boss didn't work out. I'd kill one and they would combat Rez on me. Though I didn't lose any health or mana. I had to bubble hearth after 20 mins. It was tough.

Any help would be awesome, a guide of some kind.
