So I just hit 60 with my shaman who I am leveling enhancement and Feral Spirits are amazing! But I am trying to figure out a way to track how long I have left with them. As far as I can see there's no buff or timer anywhere on the screen. I was trying to see if there's a way to do something with power auras, but can't find anything that would trigger it.

Any help would be appreciated!

A great addon to track this is called ShockandAwe. It will display two bars for you on the screen, one is the 3 minute cooldown of before you can use the Feral Spirits again and the smaller bar shows the 45 second duration of the Feral Spirits out and active.

You can accomplish this using a Power Aura. I'm now using the same config to track my Mirror Image spell which works much in the same way.

Activation Tab

  1. Create an aura activated by My Spell Cooldown
  2. Set the spell to Feral Spirit
  3. Check Invert to reverse the trigger condition to when the spell is on cooldown.
  4. Check Display Only Depends on Cooldown (not sure if this is needed, but it can't hurt)

Timer Tab

  1. Check Show (This might be optional) and place the timer where you want it.
  2. Set Duration to 45 seconds
  3. Set Invert Aura When Time Below to 0.5 seconds (this is the lowest it will go without disabling the option)

btw, Display Only Depends on Cooldown is not a good thing to hit. It makes things go weird if you get interrupted for some reason or another. ^_^ – Nehi Feb 6 at 22:00

I tend to just watch the cooldown (via OmniCC), and know that when the timer hits 2:15 the puppies go bye bye.
