If I were interested in streaming a WoW raid live, what would be the best way to do it? Most tools I've seen (Livestream, XFire), appear to be Windows only. Is there a good streaming utility/site for Mac OS X?

I do know that Livestream has recently pushed out a beta Mac version of its Procaster software (the software that PC users use to stream on Livestream). However, it does have some limitations - unlike the PC version, it can't hook into applications and stream just their output, it's limited to streaming your whole desktop. I believe it has other limitations compared to the PC version, but given that I haven't had any experience with it (PC user here), I can't say for certain. |

As I don't have a mac currently not in pieces, I can't test this but from some poking around I might suggest checking out GrabberRaster for your screen capture, in combination with something like Quicktime Broadcaster or USTREAM I would hasten to add that I have not actually tried any of the above (except ustream from a windows computer) so most of my answer is from some over keen googling) |
