I imagine atleast a few of our community have been to Blizzcon in the past, and I am positive atleast a few of you are planning on going this year. What things do you wish you would have brought to the event (or even just to California) that would of made your trip easier or more enjoyable?

I'll start us off with one suggestion...

bring an extra bag to carry your "goodie bag" home in...

It was a pain trying to collect and get all that stuff jammed into the backpack I had brought, especially the ackward shaped "n00bz" box they gave us.

Also here's another tip:

If you have a choice between a huge poster and something else, take the something else... posters don't travel well :(

Try to post 1 tip per answer, vote up the answers you find useful! I won't make this one a CW, so people with good suggestions can earn a lil rep :)

A camping stool or chair

You spend a lot of time standing in lines. It has to be very lightweight, take up very little space, and be extremely easy to pick up. Otherwise the convention staff will tell you that you can't use it because it's a fire hazard.

Snacks / Lunch

It is a universal law of convention going that the food onsite will be expensive, take a long time to get, and be absolutely bad for you. If you're staying in a hotel and forget to bring food (or anything else for that matter) there is a WalMart about 2-3 miles from the convention center and probably a dozen delis and convenience stores in the immediate area.

Cash!!! Sometimes people think that going to a convention will be your average run to the supermarket... You are wrong. Credit card machines and their connections can always go bad. Plus some merchandisers will only take cash, so make sure that you bring enough and that your store it in a safe place. Preferaly your front pocket instead of a back-pack or wallet that cacn detach from you.

and Water!!! or Gatorade in your back pack or cargo pocket. The reason for this is because a water bottle inside the event can be $3-$4dollars. Oh and watch out for those hotel room water bottles, they are expensive. If you can go to a store and get some and store them in your room so you can supply yourself that be sweet. And even though you may want to look nice for your online friends and guildmates wearing comfortable clothing and shoes is a must specially after standing in line for ours. On Thursday after you get the itinirary get together with your friends and decides what panels and venues you want to sit in so you can team up and get seats for each other while others shop or check out computers etc.
