Aspect of the Viper addon

VOTES

I'm looking for an addon that tells me to turn off Aspect of the Viper when my mana is full. I've tried stuff like ViperWatch and ViperNotify, but they all seem to be broken since 3.3, and I can't find any working replacements. Any suggestions?

AutoAspect. You're welcome. :)

Another way you could do it is to use Power Auras Classic, and set up 2 auras. 1 to detect your mana level, and another to track what aspect you're in. This would be rather complicated though, and I'd advise using an addon like the one Jorn86 linked above unless you've used it before.

Power Auras is a very powerful tool though.

I use ViperNotify, you're able to configure it to show a message on your screen when you're at full mana (you can set the percentage it will do that if you don't want to go to 100%) and make noises and such.

Allow me to shamelessly plug AnnoyingBuffReminder, which will remind you to use an aura other than Viper when you have more than 90% of your mana. It will also remind you if you have no aspect on, and will optionally remind you to make sure Trueshot Aura is up.

This one actually looks promising :) – Jorn86 (Apr 19 2010 5:15 PM)

@Wikwocket I've tried this one for some time now, and I like it a lot! It works great with other classes too. It'd be even better if I were able to cast the missing aspect/buff/etc by clicking the warning screen (could be configurable if multiple options were available for the buff such as Aspects and Mage armors) – Jorn86 (Jun 6 2010 3:02 PM)

Jorn86, that is indeed a nice idea, but due to the way spellcasts are handled in the UI, this would require rebuilding most of the mod. Unfortunately, I am not able to invest that kind of time in my AddOns at the moment. :( – Wikwocket (Jun 7 2010 9:52 AM)

@Wikwocket any chance this will see an update for 4.0.1? I've been using it for a lot more than just my hunter aspects, and I really like it! – Jorn86 (Nov 14 2010 1:26 PM)

@Jorn86, unfortunately I do not expect to be able to update it. I am not playing WoW, and I just don't have the time to update my mods (as much as I'd love to!). On the bright side, the source code is well commented in case you'd like to try updating it yourself. – Wikwocket (Nov 16 2010 10:21 PM)
