BoA items that are common between classes/specs

I hate purchasing heirloom gear for just one character. It almost seems like a waste, since you can't DE or sell the item afterwards. I know it ISN'T a waste, since I am spending over 75 levels in this gear per toon, but it's a feeling I just can't shake!

Can anyone tell me what the most 'sharable' heirloom items are? In other words, what gear works best for more than one class and/or spec?

The only BoA Items I have bought so far that I've managed to share are a weapon, and cloth items that I used for my frost mage and Disc priest.

Staff - Dignified Headmaster's Charge Chest - Tattered Dreadmist Robe Shoulder - Exquisite Sunderseer Mantle

The most universally shareable heirlooms are going to be the cloth chest, cloth shoulder, and ring items.

This will provide a 10% XP bonus when equipped and can be used by every single class. While the stats may not be the most useful for all classes, the 10% XP benefit will greatly outweigh the small stat loss you would have for not having gear catered to your spec in these two slots (chest and shoulders):

Tattered Dreadmist Robe

This will provide a 10% XP bonus when equipped and can be used by every single class as well. I would recommend the PvP shoulders because they have both crit and resilience, which will be more useful for all classes than spirit and intellect will be.

Exquisite Sunderseer Mantle

However, there is also the PvE chest that would work just as well in terms of providing the XP boost for all 10 classes.

Tattered Dreadmist Mantle

Although the stat bonuses they confer are not going to be useful for all classes, if you want to just buy one set for any character, these would work best.

Finally, if you can manage to win the Kalu'ak fishing derby, you can get an extra 5% XP bonus. This item is great for all 10 classes as well.

Dread Pirate Ring

The Haste Trinket will work well for all classes, as they can all benefit from haste in some way. However, for the six classes that can level via a caster class, the Spellpower trinket will work better (Mage, Warlock, Priest, Druid, Paladin, Shaman) and you can use two of them at the same time.

The only other slot that has available heirlooms currently is the weapon slot. This slot will be much harder to fill across all the classes. You will more than likely want to save your emblems for weapons last, and buy them for whatever class you plan to level (and in some cases, which spec).

Good luck!

alternatively, the mail AP gear will work for hunters, shaman (enhance) and paladins (although not as ideal as the plate stuff). The Leather AP gear works for rogues and feral druids. There are also the trinkets, with the haste trinket being usable by every class (plus the 2% hp bonus is nice).

Weapons: the 2h Axe is good for paladins, warriors, DK's, feral druids (not ideal), shaman (enhace till 40), and hunters (till 20). The 2h mace is geared mainly for feral druids, but can also be used by warriors, DKs, paladins and shaman. The 1h spell power mace is good for all healing classes, ele shaman and boomkin (if you have a good off hand, but the staff is probly better for the +hit). The 1h AP mace is good for rogues(combat), shaman (40+) and DKs. The dagger is good for rogues (sub/mut) and hunters (20+). The bow is good for warriors, rogues and hunters. The staff is good for all dps casters (it has hit rating on it). Not sure if I got all the weapons, but that should help a bit.

  1. Tattered Dreadmist Robe: and Tattered Dreadmist Robe any cloth wearer.
  2. Preened Ironfeather Brestplate and Preened Ironfeather Shoulders Balance or Restoration Druid
  3. Stained Shadowcraft Tunic and Stained Shadowcraft Spaulders Rogue or Feral Druid
  4. Champion's Deathdealer Breastplate and Champion Herod's Shoulder for Enhancement Shaman and Hunters
  5. Polished Breastplate of Valor and Polished Spaulders of Valor for Death Knight, Warrior, non-healing Paladin.

  1. Balanced Heartseeker Mainly rogue, possibly hunter for the stats
  2. Bloodied Arcanite Reaper Death Knight, Warrior, Paladin, possibly Feral tank
  3. Charmed Ancient Bone Bow Hunter, possibly others for stats but don't worry about it
  4. Devout Aurastone Hammer Pretty much any healer that can get an offhand
  5. Dignified Headmaster's Charge Boomkin, Ele Shammy, Mage, Warlock, Priest. Could be used for healing if no offhands are usable for the Aurastone Hammer
  6. Repurposed Lava Dredger Feral druid or Hunter for stats
  7. Venerable Dal'Rend's Sacred Charge I would say tanks, I'm not sure what to make of it.
  8. Venerable Mass of McGowan Enhancement Shaman's, Combat rogue, or hunter for stats.

  1. Swift Hand of Justice
  2. Discerning Eye of the Beast
  3. Dread Pirate Ring
  4. PvP trinkets (can be useful against certain mobs but you could just get the 2k honor from a Commendation sent to the alt for the first rank of the actual trinket)

Most of these have resilience equivalents available from Wintergrasp but I'm not detailing those.

I'm not able to add wowhead links at the moment so if someone could add Dread Pirate Ring for all classes and the two trinkets for all casters and all classes it would be awesome – Woldo (May 24 2010 10:23 AM)

Since other items were covered, I've really liked having the Devout Aurastone Hammer - I've used it leveling a priest (any spec), druid (resto/balance), shaman (resto/elemental), and holy paladin. I like that it works for both casters and healers and is usable on any healing class.

Mystical Chest of Elements and Mystical Pauldrons of Elements are the best in slot heirloom for elemental and resto shaman as well as holy paladins.
