Well allot of us going into wrath wish we had gotten certain titles, mounts, and achievements. I foresee Champion of the frozen wastes and Twilight vanquisher no longer being available due to the ease of getting them at level 85. The possible removal of the achievement proto drakes and Frost wyrms has been something already discussed. For those of you with Beta keys and even those with speculations please share your input.

In general, you can expect any mounts that are 100% drop rates on difficult encounters to be changed instead to be rare drops on the boss instead; they don't like the idea of letting people simply get mounts for 'free' by defeating a boss. However, anything that requires farming -- like Protodrakes/achievement-based mounts -- is likely to stay.

This is all tentative and could change, but we don't really have a problem with protodrake farming. What we will probably do with really unusual mounts like Mimiron's Head and Invincible is make them a rare drop. The 100% drop rate won't make sense when you can overpower the content.

If you want to overpower the content for a drake though, go for it. Players who did it "legit" had the benefit of having the achievement and mount earlier than anyone else. The most prestigious mounts will change in Cataclysm.

Ghostcrawler on rare mounts

Titles are unlikely to be changed in any significant way: several of the 'heavy farming' achievements/titles (Loremaster, the Insane) have been announced to be unchanged, and you can expect that any titles which you currently have will stay. Since most titles are not based on luck, the only titles/achievements you can expect to see changed are the ones that are no longer possible, and will likely become Feats of Strength. In general, with limited changes to Northrend, this is more likely to be an issue for "old world" achievements than for Wrath of the Lich King titles and achievements.

There are likely a number of items dropped by rare creatures around the world that will be changing: in general, expect that any item that drops from a mob on Kalimdor or Eastern Kingdoms to have a chance to have disappeared completely. Some mobs definitely still exist, and they're trying to maintain 'interesting' mobs where the story allows it, but the state of the game is too early for us to know which of these drops are going to stick around.

The Switch Zulian Tiger might be a casualty of Cata. ZG will no longer be an instance in the expansion, it will instead just be part of the world in STV, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's no more High Priest Thekal that drops it. Hope that's not the case, but we'll see...

Edit: for the downvoters, here's Tankspot's recent flythrough of ZG in the beta.

ZG is getting axed! This is the first I have heard of this. Please provide some support for this answer. – Dobablo Jul 26 at 7:46
I would also enjoy a little verification so I can start farming my Tiger until Gold release – Nico Jul 26 at 15:06

Zul'gurub is not being removed in Cataclysm. A set of phasing quests which allow players to go into ZG solo (by giving a 'scaled down' set of mobs) for the quest, meaning that the space itself will continue to exist, and the raid is reported by current beta participants as being unchanged. – Christopher Schmidt Jul 26 at 16:55
That video looks like it was just a sandbox flythrough. ZG is present as an uninstanced zone in Vanilla wow, you just can't get to it. The commentator admits she doesn't know if it's uninstanced or unfinished. – Dobablo Jul 30 at 7:29

Ok. Zul'gurub has now been declared as dead. "Zul'Gurub is gone as a raid instance come Cataclysm." blue.mmo-champion.com/t/26560871177/… – Dobablo Sep 1 at 7:36
