[TEMP] Feedback - Give Some!

VOTES

2

Was a rather sudden jolt for us bringing this new system online, but we'd like your feedback. For now, since we are just going live, feel free to "answer" this "question" with any feedback you may have. We will be bringing many more features online over the coming weeks, one of which will be a support group.

So let us know what does and doesn't work. Over the next few days we will be incredibly busy fixing these bugs and making sure everything is in order.

Thanks!

Looks like comments on questions are working fine, but comments on answers don't seem to be working correctly at this time. – Spazmoosifer (Apr 12 2011 9:38 AM)

Nice catch! It's up and working now :) – ♦♦Jesta (Apr 12 2011 10:22 AM)

From a UI perspective: are the tag images a fixed width? it looks like "epicadvice.com" is cut off in your tag above. i ask because if a tag is long, it might not fit within set width. also, the "is a tag" seems redundant. i'm assuming that the amount of tags is limited, but if not, then the size of the question could be pretty large/require more scrolling. just some thoughts for you guys. very excited for epicadvice!! – starwarspunk (Apr 14 2011 9:20 AM)

Yeah, currently they are a fixed width, we are working on a way to display them better and give them variable width without making them look crappy. As for the "is a tag", it is fairly redundant currently, but we are planning on changing some of them into other things. "Warrior is a Class", "Benediction is an Item", "Mind Flay is a Skill" and starting to categorize/expand upon our "records" :) – ♦♦Jesta (Apr 14 2011 10:07 AM)

Answering questions seems functional, as does linking to things like google.com.

Bump #2 seems to be working just fine! Trying to resolve some issues with the profiles that bump not being stored properly now. – ♦♦Jesta (Apr 12 2011 11:23 AM)

I can't find the comment option. It doesn't seem to be available on either questions or answers.

There's something strange going on with the ACL layer of our new system, so it's taking a little longer than expected to find the solution. I've reverted the change requiring permissions to post comments/answers, so as long as your logged in, those buttons should appear now. I'll get to the core of the problem when I get a bit more time :) – ♦♦Jesta (Apr 13 2011 10:37 AM)

Is their an ability to upvote comments?

0

Currently no, we are still trying to decide if up-voting a comment warrants reputation and if so, how much. – ♦♦Jesta (Apr 15 2011 9:44 AM)

Is there currently a way to delete your own comments, or flag comments (or flag questions for that matter) in some way?

The code exists, but the links do not... Coming soon... ;) – ♦♦gnarf (Apr 17 2011 9:32 PM)

The link to the FAQ page (top right of the page) isn't working

The about link (top right again) does the same. Zend_Controller_Dispatcher_Exception Message: Invalid controller specified (about) – Ecogirl (Apr 22 2011 4:09 AM)

Yeah, we haven't gotten around to creating those pages in this system yet ;) But its good to have it announced here so we remember to take care of it heh. – ♦♦Jesta (Apr 22 2011 11:23 AM)

Can the Edit button for a question be moved to a more prominent place? I think having to click on 'Leave Comment' to edit a post is a bit non-intuitive. Or at least..I didn't notice the Edit button until I'd clicked to send my comment off :)

Totally agreed! The answers in this version don't have the edit button, I'll get em in there. – ♦♦Jesta (Apr 22 2011 11:23 AM)

The font/layout in the new design looks funny in Windows (due to the font difference), putting a note here to fix it up for all our windows users.
